Six HKU Scholars Named Among 2023 AI 2000 Most Influential Scholars for Contributions to AI

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) has announced that six of its scholars from the Faculty of Engineering have been recognized as the 2023 AI 2000 Most Influential Scholar (Honorable Mention) for their exceptional contributions to artificial intelligence between 2013 and 2022. The scholars were selected for their outstanding technical achievements with lasting contributions and impact in different domains of artificial intelligence. The AI 2000 Most Influential Scholar Annual List acknowledges the world's top-cited research scholars in the field over this decade (2020-2029). The six esteemed scholars who have received Honourable Mentions are Professor Cheng Chun Kong, Professor Kaibin Huang, Professor Taku Komura, Dr Qi Liu, Dr Ping Luo, and Professor Yizhou Yu. The citation count for each scholar in each domain is calculated, and the list is sorted accordingly to generate the rankings. This recognition on the AI 2000 Most Influential Scholar Annual List exemplifies HKU's commitment to fostering cutting-edge research and innovation in AI.
